Garden Lime – Natural Soil Sweetener
Garden Lime is particularly useful in heavy, organic rich soils and garden beds or lawns where use of mineral fertilisers may produce acidic soils. It will also help plants obtain nutrients from the soil and assist the decomposition of organic matter.
Features
- Corrects soil acidity
- Raises soil pH
- Stronger plants and lawn
How much to use
Light sandy soils -Apply 50-100gm per square metre.
Heavy organic soils -Apply 100-200gm per square metre.
Lawns -Apply 30-50gm per square metre.
How to apply
Spread evenly over the surface and water in well. Particularly acid soils may require a second application after 6-8 weeks.
Why does it look like sand, not powder?
Garden lime is used to increase the pH of soils, making them more alkaline or sweet and less acidic or sour.
Richgro uses agricultural lime made from crushed limestone rock that has been ground into fine granules.
