Container gardening can bring life to the smallest of patios, backyards or courtyards whether it be with amazing crops of vegetables or fantastic looking flowers in pots.

Gardening in containers is also a very water wise way to garden especially if you use a good potting mix that contains water wise ingredients such as water crystals and a soil wetter.

Remember great looking pot plants begin with the right potting mix.

One advantage to container gardening is mobility. Container gardening makes it possible to position plants in areas where they can receive the best possible growing conditions depending on the varieties grown.

To ensure that your plants are off to the best possible start, use Australian Standards Richgro ProMix enhanced with Seasol potting mixture or choose from Richgro's premium range of potting mixes for your specific plants' needs.

Why not use garden soil? Garden soils do not contain nutrients and are generally fine in texture which means that drainage is poor and will result in plants "rotting off" and dying.
